Monroe United Recreational Soccer League

Spencerport Soccer Club is proud to partner with the
Monroe United Recreational Soccer League (MURSL)
for our U10-U17 players!

The goal of the MURSL program "is to unite Club and Town programs from Monroe and surrounding counties who are interested in participating in a RECREATIONAL youth soccer league where the focus is to foster learning of the sport and playing with fairness, character, good sportsmanship, and most importantly to have FUN. This League is NOT open to "carded" players; those who play in competitive or premier programs."

MURSL offers programs for girls and boys at ages U10, U13, and U17.

NYSWYSA/MURSL Zero Tolerance Policy

This policy was adopted by the New York State West Youth Soccer Association in 2009, with an addendum from the governing body for our Inter-Town play. All staff members need to familiarize themselves with these guidelines and work within them. Coaches must convey these guidelines to all parents during pre-season team meetings to ensure the expectation is understood.

The Staff of the Spencerport Soccer Club will be committed to working together under these guidelines in effort to make the game a more enjoyable experience for one and all.

Staff Meetings
There will be pre-season and post season staff meetings held annually for the entire recreational staff, for the purpose of distribution and gathering of information and equipment.
EVERY TEAM MUST BE REPRESENTED at these meetings. Head coach, assistant, or parent delegate should be in attendance in order to represent team concerns and provide feedback to the management. 1 representative per team at the staff meeting, please. Contact your division coordinator for more information.

Risk Management
Our affiliation with the NYSWYSA dictates that all staff members on or off the field must submit to a background check. There can be no exception to this process, and it's free of charge to all individuals. Once an applicant has been approved, a Risk Management Pass is issued, which is good for a period of 2 years. We keep all passes on file.

The application process for coaches and staff has changed. Every applicant must have a valid email address. Submit your coaches application form as you normally would. A short time after that, you will receive a copy of the job description that you must sign off on as having read and understood. Only then can we begin the RM process. For new applicants, or those returning whose passes have expired, you will receive an email from NYSW that you must respond to right away. The process is completed online via secured websites.  Depending on your email server filtering settings, this email may wind up in your spam folder, so look there if you don't see it in your main mailbox.

Also, the head coach of each House team gets a refund in the amount of one player and the end of the season. This is intended as an incentive offered to adult volunteers to the Program.
