SSC BOARD ELECTIONS - RE-VOTE NEEDED
It has been brought to the SSC Board's attention that several attendees at Sunday night's annual meeting and officer election were not members of Spencerport Soccer Club. As a reminder, to vote in an SSC officer election you must be a member of Spencerport Soccer Club which is defined in the bylaws as follows:
Art III. Membership
A. The SCC membership shall be made up of the following:
-
Honorary Member - any person nominated and approved by the executive committee and general membership shall become an honorary member, with all privileges except voting. No fees or assessments shall be charged to an honorary member.
-
Associate Member - any parent or legal guardian of those children participating in a Club program shall be eligible for regular membership in this organization.
-
All members of the Club's Coaching Staff.
Based on this information, and since the vote was conducted via Zoom and anonymously, the Board has made the difficult decision to invalidate the vote that took place on November 3rd as we cannot confirm if non-members voted. A new vote, with the same candidates, will be conducted on Friday, November 8th at 7pm via zoom, and each attendee will be required to provide proof of membership (email address) which includes the following:
-
A coach in Spencerport Soccer Club 2024 programs (Travel, MURSL, or Tykes)
-
Parent of a player in Spencerport Soccer Club during the 2024 calendar year
You will need to register for the meeting by using the email address that is associated with your Spencerport Soccer Club account. Upon registration you will receive the Zoom link information. From this point, only persons deemed "members" will be allowed into the meeting.

The Spencerport Soccer Club Board apologizes for this situation as we were not aware of those in attendance that were ineligible to vote but hope you will attend the upcoming meeting.
